Not as described April 22, 2010 V. Cairns (Maine, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was photocopied loose pages. Did not say Clymer on it anywhere. Did not have everything it should have had. This isn't legal. Don't buy from this guy. I contacted Clymer and they said the item i received was not what i ordered at all. I thought i was ordering from a real company. I would not recommend JINC to ANYONE. The shipping took almost 2 weeks. I contacted the seller and got no response. I had to file a claim through Amazon.
very handy February 22, 2010 Vadris Katzourakis (Greece) A well written service manual, easy to understand, all the necessary data are in!
Clmyer Repair Manuals January 27, 2010 J. G. Merrymon (MESA, AZ, US) This is a good repair manual. I own several Clmyer Books for different Bikes and Cars I own or have owned. Saves me a lot of money to have the book.
The breakdown of tasks is good. The torque specs are always given, although sometimes you have to search for it as they use tables for different information. You'll find yourself flipping around the book to get some information, but not that bad. Others can be even more difficult.
The only draw-back to Clmyer books is the index. Very weak, and I've yet to be able to use it effectively. I find it best to go to the Table of Contents and common-sense my way into the section and then find what I'm looking for. Can be frustrating, but the information is always there. You just got to find it. If they ever improve the Index, these would be great books.
Very Thorough October 8, 2009 M. Evans (USA) I thought this book was very thorough. It had everything inside! Right down to the electrical specs!
It's just what I needed.
Great book. July 5, 2009 Luis Garcia Cascon (Madrid, Spain) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
If you are an absolute ingnorant,as I was, in motorbike mechanics, and want to know everything about your Sportster, this is the book for you. Cristal clear explanations, schemes and photos of the different systems in your bike. You'll be able to recognize every single piece in it. This book gives you step by step instructions to diagnose problems, and to disassemble and assemble again your entire Sporster.
It even describe and tells you how to use every single tool you would need.
Really good choice!
